I haven't gotten the write-up from the mom who does them for the local paper, but one of the graphics type people I work with made a picture for the kids...

Pictures? Who needs pictures. We took all our old VHS-C tapes and digitized them, and got a new digital camcorder (yeah, the geek was still using 10+ year old technology until about a month ago ;) ). Now I'm in the process of editing and putting some of the clips up on You Tube.

John, you never cease to amaze me. You'll have to visit me sometime & help me get all my old home videos swtiched over -- a project I've been wanting to do for a very long time, just don't have the time to learn what to do!!

I had to buy a VCR to do it....our last one had died out before we moved to Buffalo, and since we had switched to a dvd movie collection, we just never got a new one. I was going to do it right through the camera, but the battery on that thing wouldn't hold a charge anymore, and a VCR/DVD combo machine was cheaper than a new battery. Luckily, I already had a TV tuner/capture card in one of my computers, so all that was left was to sit there and capture the video in real time. Boy, that was a fun three weeks. ;)
