Greg, you are correct. To go the one price for alcohol route versus one price for no alcohol might inflate the alcohol price so much as to not be affordable. I guess once we begin the pricing, we will know the effect.

I am not necessarily pro or con on either, just depends on how it all pans out. And the brands of alcohol may be a factor, i.e. what I term "rot gut" versus a decent name brand such as Barcardi, Seagrams, etc.

Shane, the reunion was at the W Hotel in New Orleans. They did charge a 30 a night parking fee and tax on top of the room price. Just an FYI. The cash bar for the hard liquor was a little pricey, I want to say like $8 a drink, not a big drink either.

I will try to make the next meeting, I must have missed the notice on the July meeting. Of course, it is the first week of school and all bets are off for me once school starts. :(

Brenda, did we really pay $30.00 for parking? Wow, I didnt remember but I still think $130.00 a night was very reasonable. Also, I think that alot of people that came from out of town liked the hotel thing because they could then spend some time showing their significant others NO. If we go that route again I think I will do 2 nights at the hotel. Also, I noticed a bunch of people went out afterwards to the Casino and such. I did agree that the cash bar prices were obnoxious.

Shane, Brian Edwards organized that whole thing. I have his contact info if ya'll wanna pick his brain about the pricing, etc.

Yes it was $30 or damn near close to it. I couldn't believe parking was that expensive. I remember b/c we stayed 1 night and they actually tried to charge me for 2 nights of parking. I had never been charged parking when I stayed at a hotel before so that is probably why I remember it.

Having said that, I am still willing to do that again. I might stay 2 night also Shondi, would have liked to go the quarter a bit and we just ran out of time. Just depends on when and how our schedule looks at the time.

Next Meeting

Hey everyone!!! Next reunion meeting will be on December 16th, 6:30 pm at Tugendhaft's in Covington (formerly known as TUGY's). Come hang out for a bit!

We're also going to check out the Fleur De Lis in Mandeville as a possible reunion site on Thursday, Dec 9th at 1:00 p.m. Feel free to join us if you're available.
