John, could you imagine if we had snow like that in Louisiana?? I can only assume tons of auto accidents.....

Julie, do you remember that one semester we had at SLU where we actually got a very, and I emphasize very, light dusting of snow? They completely closed the campus and cancelled class! You would've thought the sky was falling...lol.

Yep, I remember. And wasn't it a really strange time of year, too? Like April? I remember everyone in the dorm freaking out, running & screaming! We get a little, and I mean LITTLE snow flurry, and everything shuts down. I'll have to see if I can dig up some pics....seems I have some somewhere.

When I made that last post, we had no idea what was coming down the road. I don't know if any of y'all have seen it on the news, but Buffalo is in pretty bad shape at the moment. No where near gulf coast/Katrina bad shape, but not fun all the same. Most of the city and surrounding area is without power, there's a driving ban on due to trees and power lines down all over the place. We're lucky that it's October and not January with temps down in the single digits.
