Southern Living would not DARE do a Spotted Dick!

Jerry, so sad to hear about Colin having to go to school.....you guys just missed the snow. It was a wet snow and it is still hanging around because it is so cold....today it has turned to ice! We are definitely hunkering down today. Ran our errands yesterday and today we are packing, cleaning, making last minute ski lesson reservations. I just signed Robin up for a snowboard lesson.....she wanted to give it a try. Will send pics. We have to do something exciting since we are missing Mardi Gras! We are very envious....but, one of these days when we get settled back in the US we will be there. The kids have never been to a MG parade!! We should get news of our next assignment sometime in the next couple of months. We leave England in early July....to where? CO, FL or DC we think.

Thanks Jerry! (However, I WISH I was 35! ) How cool that Sarah and I share a birthday!! Tell your son not to feel bad -- we don't even know what a snow day is!!

Angie and Robin ~ You girls have a fabulous time. I know you will!! I have always wanted to snowboard and never tried. Robin, you go girl!! Can't wait to see some fantastic (albeat crooked) pics, Angie!
Julie, You guys come on over. We'll have all necessities - food, beer, beads, and bathroom! We have to line up around 10:15 but they'll be people in and out. We are looking forward to a great time. :)
Madonna, Ponchartrain is a great parade. Have FUN!! ( Do any of you Lions remembering marching in it when it was still out in N.O. east? )

If anyone's going to the Krewe of Hermes parade Friday night (16 Feb), I'll be on float #18 (see below); don't know on which side yet. Let me know where you'll be and I'll be on the lookout for you...

Happy Mardi Gras, all!

I second both those sentiments, Phil!

Cathy's (my sister) boys are in a Mardi Gras Krewe for kids in Lafayette, and Zachary & I went to their ball last weekend. It was really cute!!
Evidently, kids krewes are very popular in Lafayette....there are 6 of them! Here are a few pics from the ball.
