I wonder how many of us went in the service. I think Jan did (may still be in), and there's Jerry, you and myself.

How'd you do on the range?

John Sable was in for quite awhile. He was in the Army as a helo crew chief in the first Gulf War, then later on he received a Warrant Officer's Commission and was flying Blackhawks.......

I sucked at it. I would do good until the 800 yard line, prone pisition.......
I was lucky to hit the target. let alone the black.
did the Navy have to got to the Range?

The schools I went to for Avionics were Navy Schools.
NAS Memphis and NAs Miramar (Now MCAS Miramar)
Joey G. (Gouthier sp) was in the Navy, and going to scholl in memphis.

I had Jenelle in 1990 so I did not go to the gulf. Plus my comand was not sending women... Lucky me.

We had a pistol range. Modified .45's that fired 22's. Great fun. ;)

Luckily, since I went into the ARNG first, I went to Army boot, and we got to fire off some of the 'funner' things. M-16 (before they modified them to just fire three round bursts), M-60, Claymores, LAWs, M-203.....all the good stuff.

I was in MMN A school in Orlando, and part of Nuke Power School. Didn't have much of a use for a MM on the Ortolan, so to make E-5, I changed rates to EN.

Yep, happy birthday and thanks to all that were and still are in the service! I never joined but currently live about 1/2 mile from the Navy base here in Pensacola.

Yes I was in, Air Force for 10 years, scored just short of expert with the M16. :) They didn't let the Comm troops shoot the 45mm unless you were deploying. Fortunately I was always in a job that was critical enough not to deploy. More secret scooby stuff. ;)
