Go to southernliving.com....their recipes for King Cake are very reliable. That is what I use. I did it with cream cheese once, but was not happy with result. Go plain 1st time. You can always drizzle powdered sugar icing on top and then sprinkle your mardi gras colored sugar on top of that. Yum! My...

Melinda - does anyone in your families have thalassemia? It is highly hereditary especially in people with mediterranean background. My son was mistakenly diagnosed with it when he was 2. I hope your son starts feeling better soon.
