Grannie's

That's probably it. I remember going to Joelle's birthday party there around that time and I lived there between moves for 4 or 5 months. I used to go down the street and play with Pete Peters. Sad to say that my little Grannie passed on this past year. She was in a nursing home as she was in pretty...

Hair Part

We'd have to part our hair in the middle and use hair spray to properly prepare for playing them...and maybe wear roller skates.

Bernards

I occasionally would play over at Lori's house when I was a little guy. We moved to Bush from 76-82 and I lost touch with my St Peters and Covington Elementary friends. Last time I saw her was in '83 in CCD class for confirmation. I doubt she remembered me. I have a vague memory of meeting a little ...

Trigged a memory

He lives on Military Road (Hwy 21) right before you get to Magnolia Gardens (where Leslie Jourdan used to live). Speaking of Leslie Jourdan, anybody know what became of him?? Last time I saw him was 9th Grade maybe -- I remember a swimming party at his house. They had a fresh-water pool, and I reme...

Tonya - why do you think I became a track manager.....I wasn't in it for the fresh air..... I'm glad someone watched us track guys. We didn't exactly fill stadiums. Maybe if we had the band and cheerleaders to help us out. I didn't see a full stadium until regionals. So all those who watched....man...

CLARIFICATION

I believe Sean's family is in good shape. My understanding is that his wife's family is prominent in Honduras. If I hear anything different, I will let you all know. P.S. - Just for clarification, anything in my post that is prefaced by "It is said" or "it appears or seems" means it is not confirmed...

SEAN HANEMANN (85)

For those of you who knew him, Sean Hanemann was shot and killed in Honduras last week. He owned a restaurant/bar there, and has been married to a prominent Honduran native for around 15 years and they have two kids. I ran track and cross country with Sean and counted him a pretty good friend. I hav...

Update

Jessica is improving daily. I saw Joelle over Thanksgiving and she was in really good spirits and has a peace about things. Of course, rehab will be tough but her progress has amazed the Doctors. Joelle is thankful for all prayers and phone calls.

hosting

We're hosting a pretty good crowd at our house. Dad & Stepmom, big brother and his family, and quite a few from my wife's side. About 25 I guess...it'll be a feast!

God is near the little ones

It's tough seeing these little ones go through so much. Every time I see this thread it reminds me to pray for them...and their families.

MORE GOOD NEWS

Jessica is speaking and recognized Joelle and pictures of when she was a little girl. No spinal cord damage and the brain looks good. It's no small miracle!

Update

Jessica has opened her eyes and there is responsive limb movement. This is really good news. Thanks for all the prayers but don't stop because therapy will be long and hard. I still don't have any news of possible brain damage. It appears Jessica will get a 2nd lease on life (:

Re: LATEST

Noel (my wife) spoke with Joelle this morning. She's trading weeks with her mom in Austin while Jessica is recovering. Things look a little better. Jessica is off the respirator and some believe she is responding to questions with physical movements. It's still too early to tell about brain damage....
